We're thrilled to announce that Bryan Espinoza from our Materials Management team has received the LOVE Award for June. Bryan's dedication was showcased when the Operating Room urgently needed supplies for an orthopedic case. With the surgery at risk of cancellation, Bryan took the initiative to drive to UPS and locate the package needed. Thanks to his efforts, the supplies were delivered in time, and the surgery proceeded as planned. Join us in celebrating Bryan's outstanding commitment to patient care and teamwork!

CEO of eTurns, Inc. | TrackStock is a mobile inventory replenishment app for VMI/CMI. It automates stockroom replenishment from any distributor and uses AI to optimize inventory levels.
Sometimes the best solutions to complex problems are simple solutions. Before implementing the eTurns Trackstock App, this orthopedic urgent care center, Florida Advanced Spine and Sports Trauma Centers (FastMD) had 3 big asks: 1. Improve inventory management efficiency across 4 locations. 2. Quantify the net profitability of each surgery by knowing the cost of inventory required for each surgery and ensuring inventory was on-hand. 3. Prove COVID-19 PPE compliance with the state. With one easy-to-use app, we were able to help FastMD solve all three of these needs. About a third of U.S. adults have bunions, which can be painful for some people. If your bunion keeps you from activities you enjoy, it might be time to consider surgery. "What's acceptable to some is not acceptable to others," said Dr. Gary Schmidt, a foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon with OrthoONE at Swedish Medical Center. “If a patient has tried different things, and it hasn’t really worked out, I think you should offer a cure.” Learn more about bunion surgery and whether it could be right for you: https://bit.ly/3sUpwhj. The pandemic has significantly intensified the existing challenges in orthopedic care, leading to a substantial decrease in surgeries performed. Over the last three years, we've seen a shortfall of approximately 91,600 surgeries compared to the expected number, based on the annual volume increases observed prior to the pandemic. This has resulted in a considerable surgical backlog. Now, more than ever, it's crucial for us to come together to address this issue directly. Let's join forces this #CdnOrthoDay on Wednesday, March 27, and be part of the solution. #OrthoCareCanada #MSKUnited #MobilityMatters https://lnkd.in/eh_-wr-M
