“I’m sorry we can’t proceed at this stage” “it’s not the right fit for us” “We can’t work together” Ever heard those words? If you work in B2B sales, partnerships or have started your own business, chances are you have. Early and often. There’s no “it’s not you, it’s me”.  They don’t try to protect your feelings like a highschool love interest. It’s definitely you. And it sounds pretty final. Pro tip: accept rejection with grace & integrity.  But maybe you haven’t tried everything yet. There’s always a way. It won’t guarantee success, but give it a go and you might be surprised. What’s the secret? Provide value upfront. Before starting the massively successful online retailer Kogan, Ruslan Kogan just wanted a cheap TV. Then he sensed a business opportunity, pre-sold a handful to friends and family and flew to the factory in China to work out a deal. They said no. MOQ (minimum order quantity) was a little more than 10. Try 10 thousand. A broke-ish recent university graduate, Kogan didn’t have 10 thousand TV money, he only had 10 TV money. With a few days left he went back to his hotel and got to work. Kogan had noticed that the promotional flyer for this Chinese OEM business, designed to win multi-million dollar contracts in overseas markets, was replete with English grammar and spelling mistakes. He fixed them all overnight, and sent to the factory owner the next day. Not asking for anything. The factory owner changed his mind and agreed to do a limited run of TVs, just for Kogan. How well do you know your competitors? They are not necessarily those who sell the same products as you As long as they successfully satisfy your target audience's needs, you need to pay attention. Let's say you sell soft drinks (coke, Fanta, sprite...) Your competitors can be those selling zobo (hibiscus drink) or kunu (gruel) Why? If you want to sell like vodka on a busy Friday night in the corner shop, then I have something very exciting for you… Read on… The thing I’m about to tell you is something very obvious - you probably know about it - but it’s fairly under the radar these days. When if comes to motivating people to pull their credit card out and send you money… Most people resort to risk reversal, back-and-forth-guarantees, and the obviously false price discount. Now… This method isn’t just more ethical than most of it’s commonly used counterfeits… But on many occasions it is way more powerful too in driving people over the edge. Matter of fact… I would make it a “must have” part of every single sales letter you write… Especially if you are selling info products. What you are essentially doing with this method is “selling money at a discount” as the great Dan Kennedy would say it… And mind you, the name lives up to it’s promise. Let’s just say… You get a job like this: You have to go out onto the street. You get a bucket of $100 bills and you have to sell them for $1 each. Getting attention would be no problem… What would be a problem is believability because you offer would to TOO GOOD. Now, that’s a good problem to suffer from in my honest opinion. But if you manage to convince them the $100 bills are legit and you only want a $1 in return and everything’s safe and legit… People would sworn you. The same way they will sworn your product if you do that same thing did here: Demonstrate value/ROI. If it wasn’t obvious up until now… People want something back for their money. And just like you… They want a FAT profit not just some slim cuts. Since both of you want something different - him: solution, you: money - this is perfectly doable. But you HAVE to demonstrate the value your prospect gets - and this is especially true for info products - because otherwise how would he know? He just sees a sales page, not even your product. And even then, it’s what in your product and what your product does that matter not how it looks or how much it weights. Show them the profit they will get from buying from you… It doesn’t have to be money either(time, energy, health), but it HAS to be something he wants. When you want to get a soda, what's the first brand that comes to your mind? Of course coca-cola! The brand is so well known that other brands are mistaken for "coke"! They've been able to expand their visibility to a very large extent and have gathered enough attention in the market. If you want to sell, do this too. Promote your goods as much as you can and never stop promoting them.📌 It's not enough to just post about them on your media platforms. Be willing to invest money to get your product in the faces of your customers. This way, when they keep seeing you, you naturally become their go to person and your product becomes their choice! Social media has made things easy, so you can start with ads of any platform. Then make use of other forums like billboards, the radio, television and more. 🔴Never get tired of pushing your products out. It's only when you do so that you'll get the sales you need.
