It’s official! Yesterday I graduated from Teachers College, Columbia University with my Masters in Organizational Psychology.
I have to first give a shout-out to Frank Golom, Ph.D., who introduced me to the field of I/O Psychology. Dr. Golom believed in me, challenged me, and ultimately empowered me to explore a field that would become my passion.
I also have to thank some amazing professors that shaped my experience at TC - Sarah Brazaitis, Gina Buontempo, Ph.D., Allan Church, Ph.D., Dr Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic, Alan Echtenkamp, Sam Liu, Galit Ben Joseph. Your passion and expertise has been instrumental in my development as an organizational psychologist and practitioner.
Finally, I have to thank the cohort of classmates graduating alongside me. I am so grateful for the diversity in thought, culture, and experience that these individuals offered along the way. You have taught me more than I could have learned in any textbook or academic journal (and we’ve read quite a few!)
My time at Columbia has undoubtedly been a transformational experience. I never imagined the extent to which this program, this city, and these people would change the way I see and think about the world. Congrats Class of 2020! We are needed now more than ever – let’s rise to the occasion together.
