Advocate for a globally competitive #AUSTRALIANFUSIONENERGYINDUSTRY with strategic communications expertise.
Best invest in Building and talking about Fusion power, space, and maritime propulsion systems and industry as data centres are. You talk about Nuclear (meaning Fission) and fail to discuss fusion. https://lnkd.in/ge_aeX7M The nuclear fission industry is, ignorant of what's happening around you. Pull your uranium heads out, start adjusting your industry to fusion energy and start preparing to enter the commercially growing fusion energy industry. As it dawns on Earth like the sun. Great Headline Guardian on Nuclear fission. https://lnkd.in/g8sMZtpR Fission is moving towards obsolescence at an accelerated pace, as it is "out of step, out of time, out of place," and merely a temporary industry globally. https://lnkd.in/gbd_mZqk Commercial fusion electrical generation is a promising innovative sustainable and clean energy method. By 2028, Helion is expected to start producing electricity from its first fusion commercial power plant, which will provide electricity to Microsoft. The plant will produce at least 50 MWe after an initial ramp-up period. https://lnkd.in/gY9J3MQY Now see what is happening in the Fusion industry in the world. https://lnkd.in/g9hMBD7a As fission trebles, fuel shortage is increasingly real,

#snsinstitutions #snsdesignthinkers #designthinking Museum of the United States Air Force displays a range of American nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles. As shown clockwise from top left: LGM-25C Titan II, HGM-25A, and PGM-17 Thor Thor-Agena, Minuteman III, and LGM-30G About 20,000 tonnes of TNT (84 TJ) worth of energy were expended during the first fission ("atomic") bomb test.[1] It released energy roughly equivalent to 10 million tonnes of TNT (42 PJ) in the first thermonuclear (or "hydrogen") bomb test. Between the W54 and the Tsar Bomba, nuclear bombs with outputs ranging from 10 tonnes TNT to 50 megatons have been used. It is possible for a thermonuclear weapon to produce energy equivalent to more than 1.2 megatons of TNT (5.0 PJ) even if it only weighs 600 pounds (270 kg).[2] No more than a pythan-sized nuclear weapon

After decommissioning and defueling comes dismantling and disposal, for the final step in a nuclear propelled submarine’s lifecycle. Another example of highly complex and secure throughlife asset management and stewardship, being safely delivered by Babcock.
Rosyth dockyard was constructed during WW1 to support the UK’s maritime defence. The Babcock International Group site is home to the Submarine Dismantling Project. Through the project, the first disposal of an ex-service UK nuclear submarine will take place at Rosyth by the end of 2026. #SDA #RoyalNavy #Rosyth #Scotland

It's time to throw out the binder in exchange for our 𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 on just 𝙤𝙣𝙚-𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙚. 🚮 Taken from the one-page Captain's Plan on U.S. nuclear submarines that serve to align teams of 110 throughout highly dynamic missions and challenges, the Lead With Purpose alignment plan allows your entire company to know the mission and current goals -- and the part they play in those -- while still being extremely adaptable in the face of constant change. Chief Executive Officer - AUKUS Forum. Chairman - National Security; Infrastructure; Engineering; Transport; Construction; Energy; Nuclear Industry; Agriculture; Space & Future Industries; AUKUS; Defence
In the quest for sustainable and efficient maritime transport, the industry is turning its gaze to a power source that has been propelling naval vessels for over six decades: nuclear energy.
Nuclear power could transform the maritime industry with emissions-free shipping. The report assesses the opportunity presented by nuclear for commercial maritime given its proven track record in naval applications, with the study pointing to the role of new small modular reactors (SMRs) in bringing to market suitable low-maintenance reactors to meet the propulsion and energy requirements of commercial ships. ⚛ Peace Through Strength ⚛ I was honored to be invited as a Distinguished Guest for the "Peace Through Strength Breakfast" in Washington DC, hosted by the National Institute for Deterrence Studies. The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Administrator Jill Hruby (and former Director of Sandia National Laboratories) gave one of the most important talks on today's most pertinent issues, addressing an audience from Capitol Hill and industry leaders. She discussed the modernization of the Nuclear Security Enterprise and the role of Artificial Intelligence, among other critical topics. The NNSA has been accomplishing amazing work on all fronts. Full Transcript of remarks here 👉 https://lnkd.in/e2KqDkhj 🌟 Highlights: ✅ Modernization of the Nuclear Security Enterprise: "At the end of the Cold War, the nuclear security enterprise envisioned, and took concrete steps to realize, an enterprise that was consolidated and less expensive to operate. We closed some production facilities and idled others, consolidated production activities, and rebuilt parts of our complex for a much smaller capacity. This made sense at a time of relative international stability and significant arms control agreements with Russia that substantially reduced the size of nuclear weapons stockpiles. Today, we’re again reimagining our enterprise with an emphasis on capability, flexibility, safety, and resilience." 💻 Artificial Intelligence: "The last dimension of nuclear security I will mention is the potential for disruptive technologies that create proliferation risks. Of course, one such disruption is artificial intelligence and large language models as tools that could make nuclear device design easier and faster. NNSA was tasked in the Executive Order on AI to red team models, and we have begun by using the Accenture model on a secure AWS cloud. DOE has also proposed a new initiative called FASST, Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence for Science, Security and Technology to enable the infrastructure – computing, data, people – to advance AI for energy, science, and national security." Thank you Alex Littlefield and Peter Huessy for hosting such a wonderful event. #deterrence #nuclear #AI

The need to demand a world without nuclear weapons is greater than ever. Wars are raging in two regions of the world with nuclear weapons, a new arms race is underway, and rapidly evolving technologies are adding risks to an already fragile system that hinges on the threat of mass destruction. From Aug 6-9, add your voice to the global call for a safer future, one where nuclear weapons have no place. #CranesForOurFuture https://buff.ly/3zlKW6H

The article discusses the AUKUS alliance, a defense partnership between the US, UK, and Australia aimed at enhancing joint capabilities and sharing nuclear-powered submarine technology with Australia. This move challenges the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) by potentially allowing a non-nuclear weapon state to acquire nuclear technology, impacting global non-proliferation standards. The deal raises concerns about nuclear safeguards and the precedent it sets for other states aspiring to similar capabilities, posing risks to international security and the integrity of the NPT framework.
