More development occurs when the parents reach puberty. During and after puberty, the mother usually ovulates every month followed by the menstrual cycle. Spermatogenesis (sperm formation) is more continuous and non-cyclical. Day 1 to 7: Fertilization occurs in the fallopian tube but the baby implant and grow in the womb (uterus) implying that it must travel to where it will attach…………………………………………………………… From weeks 2 to 8, the baby is developing into what looks more like a human being with most of the rudimentary organs and systems completely formed by 8 weeks or the end of the embryonic period Generally, in the fetal period until birth (9 to 40 weeks), the organs and systems develop further and bigger in size and specialization with the baby growing from about 55 mm to 350 mm at birth. When human developing babies are compared to other animals, the embryonic stages and early fetal periods appear similar, they look very much alike as can be seen with these developing lizards, tortoises, pigs, and humans. The lateral flank approach is an alternative to the conventional ventral midline approach for ovariohysterectomy in dogs and cats. Indications: • Enlarged mammary glands due to lactation • Mammary gland hyperplasia Contraindications • Uterine distention due to Pregnancy and Pyometra(because it generally does not provide sufficient exposure to manipulate the distended uterus) • Estrus(For both flank and ventral midline) • Obesity • Patient age younger than 12 weeks( relative differences in the conformation of the uterus compared with that in older animals) Advantages • Evisceration is less likely if the body wall incision breaks down • Ability to observe incision from a distance Disadvantages • Limited exposure to the patient’s contralateral side if complications arise. • Difficulty identifying a previous ovariohysterectomy if the animal is not properly marked. • Possible imperfections in hair color or regrowth on the flank.

We are pleased to announce our latest publication in the journal "Reproduction in Domestic Animals," titled "Osteopontin Expression in Dromedary Camel Conceptuses During the Peri-Implantation Period." Our findings demonstrate that, in contrast to other mammalian conceptuses, dromedary camel conceptuses express osteopontin mRNA and protein during early pregnancy. This suggests a unique embryonic-specific role for osteopontin in the adhesion and implantation processes. #Biologyofcamelreproduction

Under typical farm conditions, ultrasound can reliably diagnose pregnancy as early as 26 days post-artificial insemination (AI). An Israeli startup has developed a non-surgical device to help prevent preterm births (PTB) – babies born before completing 37 weeks of gestation. PregnanTech says that 1 in 10 babies are born preterm, which translates to 15 million global births each year. And according to the World Health Organization, complications from preterm birth are the leading cause of death among children under the age of 5 years. During a woman's menstrual cycle, several follicles begin to develop under the influence of hormones, but typically only one (or occasionally two) follicle becomes the dominant one and fully matures. This process is known as folliculogenesis. The mature follicle releases its egg during ovulation, making it available for fertilization. An egg, or oocyte, is the female reproductive cell, also known as a gamete. It's contained within the follicle in the ovary until ovulation. Once released, the egg can be fertilized by a sperm cell, which may lead to pregnancy.
