Mariner Consulting Services LLC is hosting our Second Q&A career path zoom session on Wednesday, March 20th, at 5 PM PST, for Mariners who have questions about the process, how to set a successful path towards their career goals. This zoom session is free. This Q&A session will help Mariners understand the process, ask questions of what to expect, what the next steps are and how to set a career path. Each monthly zoom session will build on the last. These sessions are dedicated to helping Mariners enter into the Maritime industry, find their path of interest and learn how to set personal career goals that suits their needs and interests. If you are a seasoned Mariner and would like to be a Mentor at one of these zoom sessions where you can describe your career path, your current position and credentials and how you got there, reach out to me. I would love to have 1-2 mentors Deck/Engine to provide insight as to career possibilities. (email me at [email protected]) For example: Do you have a position on a not so common type of vessel or in an awesome location? How did you get there? What are the positives and negatives that you have learned? Also, be willing to be vulnerable and talk about 1 or 2 of your most valuable lessons learned along your career path journey. This is a scholarship I have started with Clatsop Community College (CCC) Foundation for MERTS campus in Astoria, OR. Mariners from around the world come to this unique collage to take affordable maritime courses. This is the college I attended for many years, as I worked my way up the Hawsepipe. I love CCC MERTS and am excited to partner with the foundation to make a scholarship available to students entering the Maritime Industry. In the near future we will also offer zoom sessions for Mariners already in the field. Please share with other new Mariners to help them along the right path.
