15 Visionaries, 1 Vision #BuildFromBharat 🇮🇳 This Saturday was yet another major milestone in our journey towards the initiative of #BuildFromBharat. We gathered the torch bearers of India's Tech scenario for food, networking and a goldmine of conversations at the #BuildersOfBharat Meet-up 2.0. The meet-up sparked conversations on the future of tech talent of Bharat, adoption of AI, empowering women in tech, the impact of Bharat's tech talent on a global scale and fostering growth. A big thank-you to Tushar Bansal, Tushar Maroo, Upesh Jindal, Ankit Srivastava, Albert Sebastian, Amit Dixit, Nitin Lagle, Supriya Raman, Shreekumar Nair, Vineet Triwedi for being a part of the Meet-up and adding momentum to #BuildFromBharat.

Meet Safiya, a changemaker who started her journey at Sarah Lawrence College studying anthropology and later delved into evaluation studies. She's a force for good, having contributed her skills to esteemed organizations like 3ie, UNHCR, UNESCO, and STiR Education, where she led impact initiatives. Karya, a groundbreaking endeavor empowering economically disadvantaged individuals in India with dignified digital work. They believe in providing fair opportunities, ensuring every person can shape their financial destiny through meaningful employment. In just 10 months, Karya has already impacted over 20,000 lives, disbursing over INR 2 crores in direct payments. Their vision extends further, aiming to employ 60,000 individuals this year, channeling over Rs. 12 crores directly into rural communities. But Karya isn't just about numbers; it's about impact. They create language datasets, train AI models, and uplift rural Indians through education and income. Their journey began as a Microsoft Research project and evolved into an independent organization committed to ethical data practices and fair compensation. The name "Karya" itself embodies their mission, translating to "work that gives one dignity" in Sanskrit. It's about more than just work; it's about respect, empowerment, and inclusion. Safiya, Karya’s chief impact officer, shares stories of workers inspired by their mission, envisioning a future where technology serves everyone, leaving no community behind.
