𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐡𝐚𝐜𝐤. 🚀 1.5 years ago, I ran my first C-suit executive search and thought I would never do it again. Yet here I am. Today, the majority of the positions I'm working on are for leads and executives. After the successful first executive hire, Käthe-Riin recommended the book 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘦, 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵 by Reshma Saujani. It instantly resonated with me. However, as a human, it's not easy to reshape recurring thought patterns of striving for perfection. I needed more lessons. Last October, I decided to challenge myself to embrace bravery over perfection. I didn't see the immediate impact. About a month ago, I received feedback from a candidate. She told me that our conversation reminded her of the book 𝘉𝘳𝘢𝘷𝘦, 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵. “𝘓𝘶𝘨𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘯 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘫𝘶𝘵𝘪 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘩𝘮𝘢 𝘚𝘢𝘶𝘫𝘢𝘯𝘪 𝘳𝘢𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘵 "𝘑𝘶𝘭𝘨𝘦, 𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦 𝘵ä𝘪𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘪𝘬". 𝘛𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘪𝘯 𝘦𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘨𝘢 𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘴 ä𝘳𝘢 𝘳𝘢𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘴 𝘬𝘪𝘳𝘫𝘦𝘭𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘥 𝘬𝘪𝘳𝘨𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘬𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘵𝘦𝘩𝘵𝘢𝘷𝘢 𝘵öö 𝘷𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘶. 𝘛𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵õ𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘬𝘪𝘳𝘦𝘨𝘢!” That's it! It's the biggest compliment I could receive. These 2.5 years at TalentHub Recruitment have been a journey. 🎢 I've experienced huge setbacks, but that's where you grow the most, right? 😉 At the same time, I've made hires on a scale I'm not sure I'll have the chance to do again. 🙈 Hopefully, I do.
