Today we’re celebrating 500 Victor private jet charter bookings with Neste sustainable aviation fuel in just over 2 years.
So what?
- It shows many people are aware of their emissions and are willing to take climate action
- It proves ‘Pay Here, Use There’ works (link to explainer video in comments)
- The results indicate that if offered a transparent solution, flyers will make a better choice
We believe the direct-to-consumer voluntary sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) market could raise billions, if a similar proportion of all flyers were able to pay relatively more when they book their commercial flights.
Massive thank you to all the pioneering Victor customers who have already bought SAF and special thanks to my colleagues without whom this successful partnership would not have been possible; Alexander Kueper, Alvin-King Tamondong, Eugene Kostrikov, Helene Goury, Hugo Boiten, Jonathan Wood, Jorrian Dorlandt, Kate Thomas, Max Stott, Nicolas Guillaume, Stuart Manning and Susanne Bouma.
Whilst we are pleased to have achieved this SAF milestone, we understand that there’s still masses of work to be done.
The global aviation industry has committed to cutting emissions significantly by 2050, with e-SAF, produced from additional renewable electricity and captured CO2 from industrial, biogenic or atmospheric sources expected to account for 25-75% share of global SAF production by 2050.
If you are interested in decarbonising the aviation sector, whether as a corporation or an individual, stay tuned. In the coming months, we will be sharing more exciting news about our climate action initiatives.
This is only the beginning.
