My passion for sustainability continue to grow, the more I come to learn about the dear need for it. My recent effort was inspired by Ann Schober and Demetra Onoufriou Assoc. CIPD. On 22nd of March 2024, I have completed yet another special training course on Sustainable Finance and Impact Investing. The main objectives were to demonstrate the role that businesses play to achieve the sustainable development and to understand how the Environmental and Social Governance ESG factors can be integrated into businesses. Here, I learnt about the practical methods of sustainable business models and impact investing, which are mainly applied in small and medium-sized development projects. What is more appealing to learn was the advancement in Responsible and Sustainable Investing (RSI) that incorporate ESG factors into the selection and management of investments. It extends to impact investing, which focuses on solutions that generate a positive and measurable social and/or environmental impact along with a financial return and sole philanthropic goal. Thrilled to share that I've completed the Sustainable Investment course from Harvard Business School Online. This program provided a deep dive into sustainability and impact investment, highlighting real-world problems and current solutions. The case-based learning model offered valuable insights into the challenges of implementing these practices across both public and private markets. Another course done and dusted, this time, it's the prestigious Università Bocconi's "Corporate Sustainability: Understanding and Seizing the Strategic Opportunity". This was a very interesting and in-depth course, with a nice look-in on a variety of theories, and a couple of fun assignments! Strongly recommend this for those with interest in sustainable business & transformation and impact investing! One of the most significant experiences this summer was participating in the Harvard Business School Sustainable Investing Program. During this program, I gained a comprehensive understanding of sustainable investment practices and ESG-based strategies. The curriculum covered a wide range of topics, focusing on both public and private markets around the world. I explored how sustainability can be integrated into investment decisions, the impact of ESG factors on financial performance, and the evolving landscape of global investment.
