What I like about the SQG program is that guidance is provided as an educational tool for voluntary continues process improvement of responsible, hazardous waste management that improves their company's environmental and financial performance. I identified Ohio EPA Class II waste laws exemption for small quantity of food/organics waste, composting 500 square feet of active composting footprint. In 2012 I founded the country's first organic recycling company that supplies free compost for urban farms and community gardens on this very legislation, right at their farm/garden. Since New Hampshire has 2,000 SQGs - all located near drinking water - the program identifies source reduction that adds economic and environmental disposal hierarchy (as noted in NH Title X, Section 149-M:3). When I toured the sewer district's recycled ash lagoons, which I am helping the sewer district divert up to 36,000 tons per year of recycled organic waste for beneficial use, their team shared examples of how they identify who/where hazardous waste is dumped into the sewer. While they have scientific methods and procedures in place, reflects the importance of this program. - I am a job candidate for the NHDES Food Waste Diversion Specialist #40511
