On the final day of #HOPEweek, we honored Dance to Unite, a non-profit organization that utilizes dance and guided conversations about values to teach and celebrate cultural diversity and kindness. A group of Yankees players and coaches joined Dance to Unite Founder Galit Adani and her students, Bronx-native Kid the Wiz and his dance crew, and an array of fellow New Yorkers to create a dance video outside Yankee Stadium 🕺 💙

Dance to Unite is a nonprofit organization, the teachers, and celebrates cultural diversity. We do it through dance and also through conversations about values. We're so grateful to be recognized by the Yankees. We didn't know the magnitude of this amazing experience, and this is an experience of a lifetime. And be a part of the community. Like we had people that don't dance, we had people that just wanna watch. But we had everybody join in a way. An amazing opportunity to get a chance to highlight some organizations, some groups, some individuals. This is a special day today. And you have to kind of work on the dance moves a little bit too. You've brought so many groups here, different people from all from different worlds. Also, the players were here and we were all dancing together and you could see truly the mission of Dance to Unite reflected in the people that gathered together here. Unbelievable experience.

SEMA are a remarkable organisation and I can’t overstate how much respect I have for them. Being autistic can mean experiencing a lot of discrimination. The intersectionality of being autistic and racialised compounds that discrimination and can be a very different experience in many ways. If you’re only following whyte autistic people, you’re not getting anywhere near the full story. Challenge your biases, do the learning, keep on listening. Being neuroinclusive means tackling racism head on. #BlackAutisticLivesMatter
