The team that won the SP8T GT4 class in this weekend's Nürburgring Nordschleife race consisted of 3 content creators and a professional driver; Jimmy Broadbent - Sim Racer - 900k Youtube Subscribers Steve Brown (Super GT) - Sim Racer - 900k Youtube Subscribers Misha Charoudin - Content Creator - 1.3 Million Youtube Subscribers Manuel Metzger - Professional Driver The current FIA F2 championship leader has a grand total of 🥁 🥁 🥁 129,000 followers across all platforms. Looking at the previous F2 champions, their totals are; 2023 - 192,000 2022 - 525,000 2021 - 2.6 million... but he's in F1 now. In fact, I'd take a guess that the entire 2024 F2 grid has a lower combined following that of the #150 Black Falcon GT4 BMW drivers that won this weekend. Drivers like Suellio Almedia, Cameron Das and Kit Belofsky are all using content to build a commercial profile around themselves, rather then relying on a team, series, or championship to provide value to potential sponsors. I mean, just look at Liam Lawson. Got a shot in F1 ➡ Outperformed his teammate in 4/5 races. Scored points ➡ Got dropped in favour of Dani Ric. Everyday I'm seeing industry "experts" say that we're going back to a "pre covid" market and it's a "race to the bottom." I say, well, are you going back to the way you were operating pre covid? Did you believe it would last forever and do nothing but take orders for 3 years? If so, you deserve to be obsolete. You don't train your sales people. You don't brand your dealership as a unique place to buy. You think the OEMs are covering all your advertising bases. You fear change, your competition, and refuse to come together with other operators in order to benefit the industry. So, industry experts, for most dealers you may be correct. But I can tell you firsthand that it is not the case for those who are fluid, take risks, and are selling on more than price. I work with dealers on a daily basis who are pushing the envelop and reaping the benefits PURELY because no one else is. Stop promoting fear, ice age strategies, and industry experts who say the world is ending. In every market, there is a way to win. Find it and focus on it.
