My feedback and professional experience as in my last post on training but great post . When discussing dining etiquette for senior management, it's important to recognize that etiquette encompasses far more than just the mechanics of using utensils. While basic skills like handling cutlery are assumed at senior levels, dining etiquette extends into various nuanced aspects of social conduct. Effective dining etiquette includes understanding how to read a wine bottle label, maintaining appropriate posture throughout the meal, mastering the art of a confident handshake, choosing the correct cutlery for each course, engaging in meaningful and professional conversation, knowing when it's appropriate to leave the table, and equally importantly, when it's considered impolite to do so. Conducting etiquette training solely over a video call may present challenges, as it may not fully convey the subtleties of non-verbal communication and body language. Role play exercises in a physical setting are invaluable for participants to practice these skills in a realistic dining environment. This hands-on approach allows individuals to refine their etiquette through direct experience and feedback, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the cultural and professional nuances involved. Moreover, incorporating scenarios and case studies relevant to senior management can enhance the relevance and impact of the training. Addressing real-life situations such as business dining with international clients or navigating formal dinners during corporate events provides practical insights tailored to their professional responsibilities. In conclusion, while senior management may possess foundational dining skills, ongoing training in etiquette serves to refine and elevate their conduct to align with the highest standards of professionalism and cultural sensitivity. By embracing comprehensive and experiential learning approaches, organizations can ensure that their leadership exemplifies excellence not only in business acumen but also in social grace and diplomatic finesse.
