Ted Macdonald, Symbotic Fellow, used the hard drive analogy for automating warehouses and discussed the ability to work on really hard problems, computational sensing, and AI. Shibu Sasidharan, Sr. VP Growth Strategy, Brendan Blennerhassett, Sr. VP European Region, and Jason Denmon, VP Sales, addressed the challenges in the warehouse and logistics automation market for the next decade, focusing on human resources issues and the cost of automation. Carol Hibbard, Chief Financial Officer, explained the lifecycle of system deployment. Walter Odisho shared how Symbotic creates value through quality. Miriam Ort, Chief Human Resources Officer, highlighted what makes working at Symbotic a unique opportunity. Pavithra Ashok, Head of Talent Acquisition, talked about the research partnership with top engineering schools. I am particularly inspired by Rick Cohen's conviction and vision, investing $700 million to start Symbotic. This is a testament to strong belief and visionary leadership. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 :We took on the challenge to revamp our robot and bring fresh ideas to the table for the Maze Solver event. It was all about pushing boundaries and thinking outside the box. We accepted  a mission to revolutionize our robot for the Maze Solver event, determined to innovate and explore new horizons. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 : With dedication and hard work, we implemented new strategies and made significant improvements to our bot. From tweaking algorithms to enhancing hardware, every detail was carefully crafted to boost performance. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 :  The big day arrived, and our revamped bot stepped into the arena once again. Despite facing tough competition, we showcased our innovation and determination, earning a well-deserved second place. 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 : Our opponents proved to be formidable adversaries, but their expertise provided invaluable lessons. Automate Show 2024 went beyond our team’s expectations, by a long shot. Thanks to A3, Jeff Burnstein and team for the support bringing the best of Intrinsic to North America! Hundreds of people experienced how to build an AI-enabled solution with Flowstate and run it on real robots, in real-time, right there in the booth. Our smart pick and place work cell showed how Intrinsic capabilities and IntrinsicOS power adaptive, intelligent, industrial-grade solutions. From development through deployment, we had the chance to showcase end-to-end solution building with Intrinsic in a way that simply clicked for people. The booth talks from the visionary teams at NVIDIA Robotics, Google DeepMind, Comau, ROS-Industrial and Open Robotics added another layer of value and ecosystem context.
