Construction activity is the highest it has been for 2 years! 🎉 S&P Global Construction Purchasing Managers’ Index registered a score over 50 (54.7), indicating noticeable growth and the hope of strong momentum to continue forward. In fact, sizeable growth was seen across all three broad sectors of construction: Commercial, Civil Engineering and House Building. 🏠 An increase in new orders and job creation, combined with an improvement in supply-chain conditions and a slowing of input cost inflation, are understood to be the key drivers. Not to sound too optimistic, but 2024 is looking like a good year for construction! ✅ #construction #realestate #RICS #quantitysurveying #recruitment

More good news in construction, are we on the way out of the dark?💡 According to the article entitled “Construction buyers see momentum building” on Construction Enquirer: ⬆️ All 3 monitored categories (housebuilding, commercial and civil engineering) saw activity increase for the first time since May 2022 💰 New business rose for the fourth consecutive month 😃 Business confidence rose to a three month high Andrew Harker, Economics Director at S&P Global Market Intelligence; ““Particularly pleasing was the broad-based nature of the rise in activity as work on housing projects increased for the first time in more than a year-and-a-half. Firms are gearing up for further growth in the months ahead, posting renewed expansions in both employment and purchasing activity as workloads increase.” Let’s hope this is a sign of more positive things to come I’ll post a link to the article below for those interested in reading more 👇 #ukconstruction #constructionsales #buildingmaterials

I help Construction and M&E contractors throughout the UK, build leadership and management teams that deliver successful and profitable projects 👷🏻♂️
If you feel sub-contracting enquiries have been flat, the data says you're right... 📉 After a challenging six months of contraction, there’s finally a light at the end of the tunnel for the construction industry! According to the latest S&P Global PMI data, March saw a slight uptick in activity, with the index moving from 49.7 in February to 50.2... 📈 It's a small step, but a very f**king needed one for many from a morale standpoint... ☔ Leading the way? Civil engineering! Common sense says that construction starts from the ground up, so we will likely see an improvement for interior and M&E contractors in the months to come... 🏗 Yet, it’s not all champagne and skittles (as Del Boy once said 🤣 ). Challenges remain, especially in the housebuilding sector, where conditions are tough... ⚖ With increasing investments and a focus on affordable housing, the future looks promising... 🏡 As Brian Smith from AECOM puts it, the gloomy days might just be behind us. With inflation on the decline and whispers of rate cuts by the Bank of England, there’s renewed optimism. Projects on pause are getting a second chance as financial pressures ease... 💡 Plus, the acceleration in new jobs is the fastest we've witnessed in 10 months - a clear sign that things are picking up... 🍻 Small victories but we’re paving the way for a more vibrant Construction industry... 🤞 Construction News https://lnkd.in/ewPdeXyY #constructionindustry #constructionnews #constructionrecruitment #constructionjobs
