📰 #NewPaper - Researchers from the AI-Driven Systems area have developed CloudRIC, a system that addresses the limitations of current vRANs networks. Embedded systems with a high demand for computing power need fast and capacious memory modules. Such requirements characterise cloud, virtualisation and AI solutions, among others. In such industrial projects, our solution are DDR4 SODIMM modules with a capacity of 32 GB and a speed of 3200 MHz. That memory is intended to operate in a wide temperature range. This means the modules are designed to work in applications exposed to variable environmental conditions between -40°C and +85°C. Stable operation in an extended temperature range is one of the key conditions that must be met by industrial DRAM. Therefore, the test scenario for modules manufactured in our factory also includes tests in a climate chamber. #embeddedsystem #ram #industry #memory

This is a very interesting development in the superconducting qubit modality area for #quantumcomputing. Two caveats: you can't forget phase flips and you must have high fidelity 2-qubit gates like CNOT or CZ to create entanglement.
