Quadriplegic in digital and email marketing passionate about finding the best ways to reach all demographics, including the disabled.
After a lengthy search, I am thrilled to tell everyone that starting in June, I will be the new email marketing manager for the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). I’m excited to get in there and turn their email program into something special, and I’m grateful for both the opportunity and how efficient the hiring process was. There were zero hoops to jump through and it was a perfect example of what a respectful hiring process should be. And for anyone reading this because they’re on LinkedIn to find a job, remember that at the end of the day, this is still social media. All you see here are people sharing their good news and not the bumps along the way. This post, for example, was the culmination of a long and frustrating hunt that most people were unaware of. So while it can be demoralizing to fill out that 20th application of the week while looking at a feed of people talking about new jobs and promotions, remembers there’s always more to the story. For every contact that posts about their promotion, there are dozens of others struggling in silence.
Proud of you Nick Cafferky. I appreciate you sharing your win while also acknowledging the resilience, commitment, and demoralizing moments that create the opportunity for the win. CEC is lucky to have you.
Nick, huge congrats! Your honesty about the job search process is a great reminder to everyone out there that success stories often mask the challenges behind them. Excited for you and your new team – they just gained a stellar colleague! 👏
Congratulations! So great to see deserving people get the chance to do work they love. Good luck with the transition! 😊
Happy for you! CEC is lucky to have you. I know you will make the most of this new opportunity. G’ma L.
Best of luck!
Wonderful!
Congratulations, Nick!
Congrats!

2moCongrats!! It’s great to hear that your hard work and persistence paid off. We could all use a few more stories like this, vs. promotions / endless wins
