THE DRIVERS SEAT So yesterday, my son texted me to ask what time I would be home so he could catch a ride to the gym. I told him, and it was no problem. When I get home, I kiss my wife and come back downstairs to find him in the driver's seat, and it hits me. This same little boy I drove home from the hospital 16 years ago has graduated from the car seat to the back seat to the passenger seat and now has commanded the driver's seat. When you think about it, that’s precisely how we need to treat our career. There is a natural progression in your career to some degree. However, at some point, you will need to claim the driver's seat because, trust me, no one is going to give it to you. Ok, pray for your brother as this guy navigates his new position. #driversseat
