"Show a little faith, there's magic in the night" 🎤 "Thunder Road" by Bruce Springsteen I saw "The Boss" (Bruce Springsteen) last night in San Francisco 🔥. We often use the expression "never gets old" figuratively. But Bruce literally never gets old. 60 years ago (in 1964), he watched the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show and decided to purchase his first guitar 🎸. Decades later, he's still rocking it 👏🏾. The show (one of many of his concerts that I've seen) was particularly powerful, since age 74 is when my dad (now passed) started developing symptoms of dementia. At work and in life, it's easy to get tired. It's natural to get demoralized. It's human to feel like your best days are behind you. It's a mortal thought to wonder if it's too late. Watching Bruce perform as long of a concert as Taylor Swift, despite having 40 years on her, reminded me that it's never too late. Our glory days can always be ahead of us. 💪🏽❤️

I am way too old for the pit, but last year, we saw Bruce in Dallas, Ferrara IT, and MetLife Stadium for the last show before he paused the tour. Tickets for Dublin in May and Bruce on the beach in Asbury Park for Sea Hear Now in September. It's nice to see that he is switching up the setlist a bit from show to show and that he dropped Kitty's Back, which is a great song to show off the entire band, but it is way too long for a concert. Hopefully, this really is not a farewell, but with the exception of Jake, the ESB is getting on in years.

I already had much respect for the Boss, but that was amplified after the latest episode of Curb. The first thing my wife said was "he looks so good". His music and appearance are timeless.

Love this post! Thank you Nick. Can’t wait to see Bruce this fall in our nation’s capital, Washington DC. Glory days can still be ahead of us even as we age. Glad you enjoyed the show.

Saw him last night as well and I turned to my husband and said I love how not a single person on stage has let their age define them! Church of Bruce always has life lessons !!

No one does a concert like Bruce. And you picked my favourite line from my favourite Bruce song. But more importantly to the point of your post: "these two lanes will take us anywhere" Age is just a number. Mindset, curiosity and openness will ensure that the journey is wonderful.
