If you had told me a year ago I'd be planning and executing a two day conference for 70 people, I'd have looked over my shoulder, thinking you must be talking to someone else.
But that's just what I've done.
Sim Tech Live saw the largest gathering of simulation technicians in one space to learn, connect and have fun.
Over 60 different universities and NHS Trusts represented.
8 inspiring and informative workshops.
A BBQ social with flowing drinks and smiling faces- even the rain couldn't stop the fun!
I'm still digesting what an achievement this is.
From stepping into marketing and business ownership two and a half years ago, nervous to even hit 'post' on our social media pages, to delivering an industry leading event.
Taking my first step into events marketing has been quite the experience.
Planning, logistics, event branding and building those all important connections with the many people needed to make an event run smoothly.
Plenty of long hours and sleepless nights.
But seeing our attendees enjoying themselves and learning really useful information they can take back to their organisations, makes it all worth it.
'Best work conference ever' is just one of many positive comments we've received since we closed the event on Friday.
Our business isn't even 4 years old. And yet here we are, punching above our weight and offering real value to the simulation community.
I am so proud of our team at Sim & Skills and how hard everyone worked to make this event a success.
