A total of 954 solar panels have already been installed on 1,840 m2 of Antalis parking deck in Lupfig, producing an estimated average of 378,000 kWh of electricity per year. As the photovoltaic system is part of a series of innovative, large-scale environmental projects at Antalis, a significant proportion of Antalis Switzerland's future electricity needs will now be covered by renewable energy.

Variability in energy generation, particularly with solar and wind processes, has been a challenge facing the renewables sector. However, through the use of emerging and innovative technologies, these challenges are not insurmountable.
