I know a lot about coffee, did you know that 99.9% of all coffee is roasted. 99% of that is in gas fired roasters. Works out to about 1 gallon of gas to roast 1 lb of coffee the combustion of that gas gives you 18lbs of CO2. World wide we consume over 20,000,000,000 lbs of coffee and the roasting of that produces 360,000,000,000 lbs of CO2. This is hardly every talked about but there are a lot of options, electric roasters for one.
