The burden of proof for convicting someone of a crime is beyond a reasonable doubt. If information is discovered after a conviction that causes that burden not to have been met, you have a wrongful conviction. If people were truly concerned with law and order and the rule of law, cases where convictions occurred and information is later discovered which reflects that the person could not have been found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt had that information been known at the time of the conviction, not granting that person a new trial goes completely against law and order and the rule of law. What that reflects is a win/lose paradigm, regardless of the truth, what’s right, what’s ethical, and what’s moral. And, when that occurs in a capital crime in which the convicted person is sentenced to death and the death sentence isn’t at least reduced to life in prison without possibility of parole, and the convicted person prefers life in prison, that really reflects a win/lose paradigm, regardless of the truth, what’s right, what’s ethical, and what’s moral. Why? Because the ERROR can never be undone by anyone, ever. On top of everything else, IF the convicted person was wrongly convicted based upon that burden of proof, it also means that there’s a very real possibility that someone else actually convicted the crime and isn’t being held accountable. IF you find this acceptable, you don’t believe in law and order and the rule of law. What you believe in is a win/lose paradigm, regardless of the truth, what’s right, what’s ethical, and what’s moral. That, by definition, is anarchy. Congratulations, you’re the exact opposite of that which you believed. Develop some self-awareness and own it! “The state of Texas executed Ivan Abner Cantu, a 50-year-old Dallas native who maintained his innocence and garnered support from celebrities asking for his life to be spared, on Wednesday evening. 
Cantu’s execution — the first one carried out in Texas this year — comes more than two decades after he was convicted in a fatal shooting in 2000. Yet, his advocates long pleaded for Cantu to have another day in court — claiming that prosecutorial and defense misconduct, the discovery of physical evidence and a witness’s admission to lying during the trial should have warranted a pause to the execution. 
“I can’t say for sure that he’s innocent; but I can’t say for sure that he’s guilty,” Abraham Bonowitz, executive director of the anti-capital punishment organization Death Penalty Action, said during an online vigil Wednesday for Cantu. “There’s just too much doubt.” 
Cantu’s case drew the attention of celebrities Kim Kardashian and Martin Sheen, as well as U.S. Reps. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) and Joaquin Castro (D-Tex.), all of whom supported Cantu.”

This I think is important.. Small fines to Solicitors for effectively attempting to destroy peoples life through #SLAPPS is simply not near strong enough. When we look at the #Postofficedrama the destruction was catastrophic to many involved. Those Solicitors that engage in #SLAPPS have absolutely no ethical or moral compass at all and I personally believe they should be struck off altogether and have a criminal conviction for Perverting the Course of Justice, amongst other offences. Unlimited fines a deterrent. Prison sentences by far are the biggest deterrent. This is a move in the right direction.
