RotaSec² from Gunnebo Entrance Control is a full height turnstile for external use, providing a high degree of security and safety. Available in single and double interlocking layout configurations, with optional roof canopy, the mechanism is unlocked from the access control system or remote control, and the bars can then be pushed in the authorised direction. Key Specifications: Anti-reverse rotation during transit prevents unauthorised transit in the opposite direction. Robust case work provides a deterrent and physical barrier. Weather-proof and durable construction allows RotaSec² to be used outdoors. Interlocked double versions allow two passageways to be installed in a smaller footprint than two single turnstiles.

The envelope extends over the roadway and shoulder and is expressed as the vertical clearance. While the dimensions may vary across jurisdictions, some common maintenance envelopes (heights) are:  👉 Over Dimension (OD) route: 6.5m  👉 Urban/rural freeways and arterial roads: 6.0m  👉 Local roads: 5.0m The above envelopes ensure that vehicles won’t strike vegetation, but it’s also important to ensure that vegetation isn’t obscuring important signs or delineation devices. For this #casestudy we focused on a brightly lit lot with automated fixtures. Challenge: This property was previously lit by 3 parking lot poles with 2 outdated fixtures on each (only 2 of the 6 fixtures were working). This created a security concern for a thriving business running 24/7 in a dark industrial part of town. Solution: To remedy this issue, an additional parking lot pole was installed as well as 2 new 300 Watt LED Flood fixtures on the new and existing poles. This took the lot from 2 outdated flood lights to 8 upgraded LED solutions. Result: A brightly lit lot with automated fixtures. Along with upgrading the fixtures, rebate opportunities were also created for this property. Parking lot security lighting plays a critical role in enhancing safety and security in industrial areas.
