this is absolutely true. and for the last 4 weeks the Rootical team and fellow cohorts have been working on understanding the loops in Uganda food system that has made food losses to prevail in most rural part of Uganda especially during peak periods and it's consequences on #farmers, #consumers and #processors including the #government and during this analysis and community based research conducted I have gained some insights that most farmers are always ready to take up the post harvest technology to add value and reduce post harvest losses but are usually drowned back by the cost of acquiring them due to the limited income and also inadequate knowledge on various value addition technology which they can explore. "one of my respondent said that he usually harry to sell his vegetables to the market vendors whether the prices are favorable or not as he fears making total loss" I believe that with Fellow #rootical2023 a more robust and inclusive solution will be developed at the end of the course. am glad that FAO is also working on this problem that has prevail for so long.
