Thinking about quitting your job due to burnout? Here’s how I like to think about it… Start by considering personal factors. Do you have any habits or patterns that are burning you out. • Type A personality • People-pleasing tendencies • Perfectionism • Neglecting your wellbeing When I burnt out in 2017, it was entirely due to my own Type A habits. 😂 Next, consider the job factors of burnout. What’s going on at work that you, your manager, or organization can work on? • Overwhelming workload • Lack of control • Need for community • Perceived unfairness • Insufficient rewards • Misaligned values Years after I burnt out, I found myself in an organization where nothing seemed right. I couldn’t set boundaries or even have productive conversations with the leaders, so I decided to leave. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer—sometimes the grass is greener, sometimes it’s not. Evaluating both your personal and job factors helps you make an informed decision. #CareerAdvice #BurnoutPrevention #Wellbeing #WorkLifeBalance #JobFactors #PersonalGrowth
