www.nineoclock.ro: “Connecting Worlds”, the new fine art exhibition proposed by WIN Gallery, is a tribute to the multitude of encounters between worlds and cultures, by Mioara Iofciulescu “Connecting Worlds” is centered around the process of acquiring knowledge, making discoveries and accommodating to novelty. It is a constant in our lives, equally beautiful and disquieting. We chose this subject because we are traversing a period when science is making extraordinary leaps, at once promising and challenging. Discovering inner and outer worlds entails an inquisitive spirit, the courage to delve into the unknown and the willingness to accept change as inevitable. To become aware of oneself and one’s surroundings, fascination and doubt must walk hand in hand, shaping the journey. Along this process, connections between people, cultures and mindsets flourish, enabling new ways of seeing and thinking. Introspection, rites of passage, symbols and travels are just a few among the many vehicles for exploration”, Irina Stoenescu, Chairlady of WIN Gallery, stated. Of course this art is crazy. What art is not crazy? When it's not crazy it's not art. Jean Dubuffet Obviously by 1945 the world was also crazy and there were many who questioned the processes and genealogies of creators authenticated as artists. If we listen to Dubuffet, as to anyone else who has arguments to define concepts based on experiences and observations, we arrive at one of the possible questions, we can all be creators of art: Social art, urban art in the street or in galleries? Where to find it? Although perhaps the question is where we can experience the sensation/reflection/experience that art awakens in us. As a game for the intellect, for our own existence... we keep asking ourselves and questioning the evolution or involution that the manifestations (with the tools incorporated in this era, pose us). #artbrut #landart #urbanart https://lnkd.in/ditTEWiB and if you have time check this (https://lnkd.in/d9rnqXkM)

One of the reasons why I feel it as my mission to bring art to people (and vice versa) is its power to move us deeply... art is a portal through which we can take an empathic look into the world of the artist and curator and also to our own psyche. Walking through an exhibition with a dedicated guide or just wondering on your own can be a journey through ideas and emotions, stories and layers of interpretation. The physicality of the exhibition space and the opportunity to experience art fully, with all of our senses, creates a very special place of contemplation and conversation. So I wrote about it in "Õpetajate leht". You can also order a personal tour at Tallinn Art Hall. I have created a unique kind of format called "Tour of relaxed observation" ("Väga rahuliku vaatamise ringkäik). In it, we take time to become present in ourselves, allowing the mind to relax, thus becoming more perceptive and sensitive to the subtler nuances of art. During the 1,5h, you will hear about the fascinating back-stories of the works and the exhibition in general. You will also have time to become aware of what is happening within, thus creating a deep experience. For this format, I'd recommend choosing a time when the exhibition is closed for other visitors, making for an exclusively private time with art. Artificial Rome #INTERPLAY is a generative installation in the heart of the Humboldt Museum in Berlin. Artificial Rome is the mastermind behind INTERPLAY in Berlin, and is celebrated for our groundbreaking approach to art. Through this daring artistic endeavours, INTERPLAY delves into the exploration of human perception, pushing the boundaries of artistic expression. Artificial Rome and Humboldt Museum, envisions a revolutionary transformation of the museum experience. We created a generative installation within the atrium of the Humboldt Forum in Berlin. The seventeen-metre-tall artwork, displayed on a towering screen sculpture spans across three floors of the museum. The permanent installation is visible from every angle inside the atrium. The frames change so that they appear differently at any given time. This means that visitors can experience an ever-changing simulation of the elements every time they pass through the atrium. Hiroshige’s “100 Famous Views of Edo” - Exhibition: “Hiroshige’s 100 Famous Views of Edo (feat. Takashi Murakami)” at the Brooklyn Museum - through Aug. 4 - “If you want to understand the visual language of Instagram, cinema, Tintin comics, modern poster design, or van Gogh, the quickest thing to do would be to ride out to the Brooklyn Museum, where, for the first time in 24 years, you can see every one of Utagawa Hiroshige’s “100 Famous Views of Edo” (the city now known as Tokyo). If you’re unfamiliar with this monument of mid-19th-century Japanese woodblock art which, like Katsushika Hokusai’s “36 Views of Mount Fuji,” profoundly influenced Western modernism and its descendants, by all means start at the beginning: How did the museum get its hands on such pristine copies? And what made Hiroshige (1797-1858) and his workshop so innovative? An entire set of Hiroshige’s colorful depictions of his native city was bound into a book, donated to the Brooklyn Museum and left in storage for 40 years before being unbound in the 1970s. …. In the main room, you’ll find 118 prints on the walls, either because “100 views” wasn’t meant literally or because brisk sales convinced Hiroshige to issue extras. They’re arranged in seasonal order, following an index published after the artist’s death, and their numbered labels are wonderfully concrete and informative. … Depending where in the picture you look, you’ll find realism and perspective treated very differently. The plain beneath the village has depth, because it has to; Fuji is flat, because it’s an icon, and because flatness better catches its mystery. The people are simplified, the river is abstracted, and the carp looks more like a real flying fish than any actual windsock could — but also, still, like a windsock. Holding it all together gracefully is Hiroshige’s serene comfort with the artifice of his medium.” https://lnkd.in/dkeyJ_qN Show info: https://lnkd.in/deW43QSh? #art #woodblock #Japan #Hiroshige #exhibition #NYC

See how 'Les Demoiselles d'Avignon' do their best to capture the attention of museum visitors. Even though the women adopt alluring (angular and fragmented) poses, their profound impact on the development of modern art goes unnoticed by some visitors. Most museums provide informative wall texts and audio guides to enrich your understanding of these masterpieces. But I wonder, if placing such artworks within a broader historical or thematic context encourage visitors to linger and explore its deeper significance for a few more seconds? Inspired by his encounters with African and Oceanic sculptures at the Musée d'Ethnographie du Trocadéro, #PabloPicasso's revolutionary approach transcended naturalism, forever reshaping the course of art. The question arises: aside from situating the masterpiece among its contemporaries to accentuate its disruptive development, would the inclusion of such objects alongside Picasso's work detract from, or instead, enrich the visitor's understanding of its pivotal role in the development of modern art? #art #museum #modernart #MoMa

#soloshow #exibition #aterniger #aternigerproject #february2024 #ATERNIGER #BlackInArt #ChromaticExploration #AbstractArt #TheColorBlack #ArtisticExpression #ContemporaryPainting #MeaningsOfBlack #UrbanArt #AbstractInterpretations • ATERNIGER 2 exhibition, Bistrița-Năsăud Museum Complex. • Black is strong, silent, and elegant; it is matte black, glossy black, introspective, and mysterious. It is sober, balancing, and can be the starry sky on restful nights; black is a color that has undergone many changes over the centuries, as Michel Pastoureau noted. Black asserted itself as a color at the famous exhibition at the end of 1946 at the Maeght gallery in Paris, where 25 works by artists such as Pierre Bonnard, Henri Matisse, George Braque, Georges Rouault, Henry Van de Velde, Pierre Soulages, and others were exhibited. For me, it is a haiku, embodying all the meanings perceived through the eyes of the beholder. The ATERNIGER exhibition explores the depths and expressive dimensions of black, offering viewers a captivating journey through diverse stylistic approaches, placing them center stage, in the heart of the piece, or in the universe, exploring it. By integrating works done in a realistic style, I aimed to bring a personal and introspective element to the entire project. Thus, the realistic achievements become a window to my own self-representation, bringing to the forefront elements of identity and human experience that harmoniously merge with the abstract language of black. This juxtaposition creates a profound connection between abstract and real, inviting viewers to explore the subtle nuances of artistic expression in a vast spectrum of interpretations and emotions. In this dialogue, dynamic images are the connecting and transitioning element, elements from the real space that overlap and juxtapose, enveloping and unveiling urban exploration areas that have triggered over time in my conceptual and then real studio, today's project on display, entitled ATERNIGER.
