Harley-Davidson’s boomer demographic is ageing out, but we’ve got a plan to rev up their sales! The Data Analytics and Machine Learning Applications in Business Optimization certificate from York University was an absolutely fun six-week experience! I love opportunities to put things into practice and all the little struggles and new things one learns along the way! Here’s our team’s presentation for our final submission for the program. Our presentation focused on increasing Harley-Davidson Motor Company’s sales revenue while maintaining and enhancing their existing brand. We drew inspiration straight from their 2023 annual report, specifically reapproaching their challenging subcompany venture, LiveWire. Shameless plug alert: including IBM's WatsonX was a project requirement, and it was an absolute blast strategizing our solution around it for our final pitch! Big shoutouts to Utkarsh Pandey from IBM, for guiding us through data analytics from a business standpoint, Maria Shibaeva-Escarraga, MBA for teaching us the importance of soft skills, and Daman S Talwar from RBC for his career advice, and of course THE MAN ensuring everything ran smoothly, thanks to Sujoy Gupta Finally, thanks to Elena Caprioni, PhD for starting and sustaining this program over the years.
