Here's why our journey through March deserves your attention. ✅ Prague celebrated an important day with the launch of our 20 high-capacity trolleybuses, contributing to the revival of trolleybus transportation in the city. They ensure emission-free efficiency on the route between Nádraží Veleslavín and the airport. ✅ Our Pilsen production has been buzzing. We have been producing 39 Škoda ForCity Plus trams, custom-designed to fit the unique conditions of three German cities: Frankfurt (Oder), Cottbus, and Brandenburg an der Havel. ✅ In the streets of Pilsen, we began type testing and homologating the first Škoda 32 Tr trolleybus for Lithuania's Vilnius, signaling great progress towards completing the production of all 91 units, which will navigate the local streets this year and the next. Oslo 🇳🇴 ✅ Operators have been chosen for the 2024 season in Oslo. Bolt have taken the place of Lime, who operated bikes last year, and Ryde Technology and Voi remain. The fleet cap for micromobility devices in Oslo is 8,000, split equally between the three. 4. Odense 🇩🇰 🟢 Two scooter operators will be chosen for the market in Odense on a 5-year contract which will run until March 2029. High on the list of priorities for the city are financial viability/stability, safety and the time it takes to pick up a fallen scooter). Bolt, Lime, TIER Mobility and Voi Technology currently operate. 3. Southampton 🇬🇧 🟠 The city wants to take drastic measures to "achieve commercial viability in the medium term”. They want to have one operator for both bikes and scooters by summer 2024. 2. I agree with the CEO #willbutleradams - Cities cannot be planned exclusively by the government, the business and the people have to participate. For now, modern technology has come more and more into the infrastructure. It basically means that traffic signs, pedestrian crossings, different sensors in the city environment, are all to collect data. And of course we need data to understand what is going on in the city and how much our developments have actually changed the situation. And we can easily see in which parts of the city more people are gathering, where people are actively moving, whatever. How does an operator manage a bike share system twice the size of Singapore? INURBA Mobility’s Mariano Pérez Miñano tells Zag how the operator's relationship with Segway Commercial and Urban Sharing helped to overcome the exponential use of Poland's public bike share scheme. “When a bike is used maybe three, four, or five times per day we have expected break-down rates and an expected number of calls to the call centre. But this exploded to maybe 14 or 15 trips per bike per day which completely changed those rates. “What’s made this scheme a success is the fusion of Segway and Urban Sharing, and how they’re not only cooperating with us in the best way, but also with each other.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/eC2x52SD

Last week it finally happened – meeting with LYYLI in Tampere. What a lady! Lyyli is a unique test tram in the whole world! Our Los Angeles delegation had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience an autonomous test drive with Lyyli. Lyyli tram is part of the “Lyyli Living Lab” environment, which enables the testing, experimentation and development of various solutions related to urban mobility in a real operating environment. During our Lyyli visit, Ali Huttunen from Tampereen Raitiotie Oy/ Tampere Tramway Ltd. informed us that the main goal of Lyyli Living Lab project is to enable new services offered to passengers and innovations and technological experiments that improve the travel experience in a test train operating in normal traffic. Business Finland is actively participating and funding this Lyyli project - SmartRail#3. The project is also part of Business Finland's Decarbonized Cities program. The consortium includes companies and stakeholders like Škoda Group, GIM Robotics, PayiQ, Moovy, Nodeon, Solita, Tietoevry, Tampereen kaupunki - City of Tampere, Liikenne- ja viestintävirasto Traficom / Transport- och kommunikationsverket Traficom, Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Business Tampere and VTT, which is acting as coordinator of the joint project. In total, more than 30 organizations are involved in this Lyyli Living Lab project. This project is an excellent example of the close cooperation within several actors. The results of this project will be used both to implement a user-friendly and safely automated urban mobility as well as to generate new business, business-led growth, exports and new jobs. Our Los Angeles business delegation was extremely interested in the Finnish state-of-the-art solutions within the urban mobility sector. Los Angeles is on a mission to electrify transportation by the 2028 Summer Olympics. For example, the second-largest metro region in the nation aims to become a clean transportation leader ahead of the 2028 Olympics.
