What creates ATTENTION when launching a new product ? Glendale Packaging were launching their new Sanitizer product and wanted to ensure that a positive sell though as they launched it We made these Video Brochures for them. The purpose of the video brochures was to create enough product awareness with their distributors BEFORE the launch 🤑🤑 How was this undertaken ? 🤔 We sent out the video brochures to their main distributors in which the video content explained all the features and benefits of the new product and WHY it was such a useful product 💥 We also equipped each salesperson with at least two of our video brochures, one to go and one to show 💥 What was the outcome for Glendale using our video brochures ? 🤷♂️🤷♀️ The awareness of the new product BEFORE launch meant that the distributors knew all aspects of the product and pre-launch sales went crazy Result = The product was a financial success BEFORE it even hit the supermarket shelves 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱, 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗚𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗹𝗲 ? How can you as a brand add value to your distributor partner? Create engagement. I've done a series of posts where I touch on 5 ways a brand in foodservice can impact their distributor partner positively. 1) Have and create a relevant brand. 2) Build relationships with your distributor partner. 3) Put in the work. 4) Create engagement. 5) Follow up and follow through. Today we will touch on creating engagement. What does that mean? Creating engagement means you are helping to build brand awareness at the chef and sales person level. You are asking open ended questions, you are creating ways for the team to creatively sell the products. When was the last time you ran a spiff? When did you bring donuts for the crew? Do you have cool swag that the sales team or chef can have? Are you sliding into DM's of customers and offering unique ways to position your products and distributors? What about giveaways? Is your brand engaged with the customer and the distributor? Distributor partners are busy and they need your support. They have thousands of items and hundreds of vendors fighting for time and attention. What are ways you've found to be effective in creating engagement?
