On this World Health Day, the theme "My Health, My Right" serves as a powerful reminder of the fundamental importance of understanding our rights to healthcare, particularly for individuals in #ruralcommunities who are frequently overlooked by the healthcare system. Looking forward to the rollout of the 2024 Celebrate Life #oncologyworkshops in partnership with specialist doctors to equip #primarycare health workers in the rural Eastern Cape about various cancers with topics ranging from symptoms, and diagnosis to treatment. For those fortunate enough to have access to healthcare, let's make use of the resources available to undergo screenings, as #earlydetectionsaveslives. As a passionate supporter of Movember, and believer that more needs to be done to raise awareness of men's health issues, I've signed up to support their call for more government focus on this area, why not join me. Globally, on average, 1 man dies by suicide every minute of every day. Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men in the UK. Across the country, there are more than 395,000 men living with and beyond the disease. Many are dealing with serious side effects from treatment. Testicular cancer strikes young and is the most common cancer in men between the age of 15-39. We need to do more to ensure these numbers decrease as the impact is felt by all of us. #movember #menshealth https://lnkd.in/e7mCMRmk
