👉🏼Admiral William H. McRaven commencement speech at the University of Texas at Austin 🤘🏼referred to as the “Make Your Bed” speech is my all time favorite 🧡. There are many valuable lessons and serve as a reminder that changing the world can happen and anyone can do it. “Our struggles in this world are similar and the lessons to overcome those struggles and to move forward, changing ourselves and changing the world around us will apply equally to all.” My top 🖐🏼lessons are:
1️⃣ If you can’t do the little things right, you’ll never be able to do the big things right.
2️⃣ If you want to change the world, sometimes you have to slide down the obstacles head first.
3️⃣ If you want to change the world, don’t back down from the sharks.
4️⃣ If you want to change the world, you must be your very best in the darkest moments.
5️⃣ If you want to change the world, measure a person by the size of their heart, not by the size of their flippers.
"If you want to change the world, start off by making your bed."
