✨Day 1 at my office!✨
✨Just like every intern, I was beyond thrilled to enter the corporate world and experience it up close. A lot of dreams and expectations intertwined with the ground reality, and this was how it went down.
✨ Magnanimous glass buildings bustling with employees even at 7 in the morning, rushed office lanes and swinging I’d cards, people dressed in formals from head to toe, it was nothing short of a movie. I was amazed and tried to soak it all in.
✨ Every employee, from the front desk receptionist to our senior managers greeted us with the utmost kindness. Being an intern can be intensely overwhelming, but the helpful nature of coworkers can be very reassuring.
✨Coffees after coffees after coffees. Definitely one of my favourite perks and motivator for going to the office. Every office has these “breakout areas” where you can go take a quick coffee break and replenish your energy.
✨The workspaces are built in a way that maximises productivity. Whether it’s coworking spaces or individual work cabins, employees are given free access so that they can work in utmost comfort.
✨Meeting my friends from college in an office setting was so much fun! But apart from that, networking with fellow interns from similar backgrounds but different colleges was a major event in itself. New friends and colleagues in the office make the journey so much easier and enjoyable.
✨ Learning goes hand in hand with working. Just today, we were taught basics of MS Excel, and in the coming days we will be given more insights into how the firm actually functions and how the industry functions practically.
✨All in all, my first day at my office was marvellous. I hope JPMorganChase is as thrilled to have me as I am to work here. And I hope this post gave you a glimpse into my work life.
