📣Calling all PharmD students Back in January, I started a pilot program for pre-pharmacy and PharmD students. The goal of this program is to equip students with support, skills, and impactful projects that will help them ✨thrive✨ as they continue on their pharmacy journey. 💊The impactful projects that they work on are geared toward serving other pharmacy students. Three of the students within the program created a survey to understand the needs of current pharmacy students so that we (Learn With Libby LLC) can serve them better. 💻This 10-question survey is anonymous and confidential so feel free to be as real and raw as you would like. It should take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete. The link to the survey and more details can be found in the comments! Thank you for your time and support. We’re excited to review the responses, share emerging trends, and build the resources our pharmacy students need. 📌Please share with current PharmD students! The more responses we have, we can identify more prevalent trends and act accordingly.

I'm thrilled to share that I have completed a course in Good Clinical Practices (GCP)! This comprehensive training has deepened my understanding of the ethical and scientific quality standards essential for designing, conducting, recording, and reporting clinical trials that involve human subjects.GCP compliance not only ensures the integrity of the data collected but also safeguards the rights, safety and well-being of trial participants. Good Clinical Practices encompass guidelines set by regulatory authorities like the FDA and EMA, detailing responsibilities and expectations for sponsors, investigators and monitors involved in clinical research.Adhering to these practices is crucial for maintaining public trust and achieving reliable and reproductive results.GCP standards help prevent errors, fraud and misconduct in clinical trials, thereby enhancing the credibility of the research and facilitating the approval process for new treatments and interventions. In today's rapidly advancing medical and scientific landscape, the importance of GCP cannot be overstated. October is American Pharmacists Month, and we are highlighting Ole Miss pharmacy alums daily to celebrate all the fantastic work pharmacists do! Hi everyone! I am Carl Lowe, an alumnus of the School of Pharmacy class of 2021. I am an Inhaled Respiratory and Health System Medical Science Liaison at AstraZeneca. Why would you encourage a student to pursue pharmacy? I encourage students to pursue pharmacy because it offers a unique and impactful pathway to positively influence patient care and healthcare outcomes. Pharmacy is not just about dispensing medications; it's a field that allows you to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and patient well-being. As a pharmacist, you can be a crucial member of the healthcare team, providing evidence-based solutions, optimizing medication regimens, affecting discharge protocols, and enhancing patient's understanding of treatments. What do you love about being a pharmacist? Pharmacy allows me to fulfill my passion for evidence-based medicine and patient advocacy. In my current role, I am able to affect health care on a much broader scale, from designing and executing studies to educating HCPs. I take pride in my role as a communicator and educator, helping patients and HCPs understand complex medical information. I cherish the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative strategies that lead to better patient outcomes. What do you love about the Ole Miss School of Pharmacy? The School of Pharmacy provided me with a strong foundation and a supportive community that nurtured my growth as a healthcare professional. The education and experiences I gained from the school have been invaluable in preparing me for my journey in the pharmaceutical industry. The emphasis on interprofessional collaboration, combined with rigorous academic training, equipped me with the skills to communicate with healthcare providers and to contribute meaningfully to the field.
