We recently hosted the PFIP - Philippine Financial & Inter-Industry Pride Q3 2024 Membership Meeting and Fellowship Night at our offices in Manila, Philippines which was attended by over 100 PFIP member company representatives. During the event, our team had the opportunity to talk about our work on LGBT+ inclusion and how we continue to advance Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. We were thrilled to provide a platform for the event and for meaningful dialogue and collaboration, reaffirming our commitment to advancing DE&I both within our organization and across our communities. “True inclusion is not just a policy, but a practice that must be woven into every fabric of our corporate culture, where everyone feels welcomed, respected, valued, supported, and empowered to freely express oneself in a safe work environment,” Coy Macaspac-Ordonez,CPA - Country Executive Northern Trust Philippines. #MadeForGreater #LifeAtNT

As we celebrate LGBT History Month, it's important to remember that inclusivity is a year-round commitment and not just an opportunity for virtue signalling. Whether that's through clearer anti-discrimination policies, improved staff training, or a drive for more diverse recruitment, long term commitments are required. 💥 We should be using this time to reflect, challenge our biases, and implement policies that foster a workplace where everyone feels valued and respected. #InclusiveCulture #LGBTEquality #DiversityAndInclusion

The point I like to make in these #briefings is that there’s huge #diversity within groups, so when talking about #LGBTQIA+ people are as #diverse as they would be across any other characteristic, so it’s important to focus on our #behaviours… however, what do we need to know about some cultural #norms that are worth discussing? I tend to point out that interestingly, as a grouping, the LGBTQIA+ term encompasses who we are, as well as who we are #attracted to, which are different elements of #identity, so there can be huge culture clashes within this group. We will be looking at #language around the acronym, so pulling apart the letters and what some people say they mean - I have a mini slideshow on this - but also dispelling #myths and highlighting stereotypes which should be challenged and hearing from out great panellists Christina Leia Riley Vicky Thorburn and Toby Chai of NAN - Neurodiversity Architecture Network about their thoughts and experiences.

Many of you will know that February is LGBT+ History Month 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Employers have a pivotal role to play in ensuring that workplaces are inclusive environments where everyone can be their authentic self free from discrimination and judgement. Where individuals feel included and respected at work, they are more likely to thrive and contribute in an innovative and creative way. Individuals may also feel more motivated to work for an organisation which is taking proactive steps to maintain equality of opportunity. So what can employers do? 🌈 This month is an excellent opportunity for employers to educate colleagues about the history, challenges and triumphs of the LGBT+ community. This can help to break down stereotypes and reduce unconscious bias. Beyond awareness, taking concrete steps such as implementing inclusive policies, providing equality and diversity training, and supporting LGBT+ networks will help demonstrate a firm commitment to creating a workplace where everyone can thrive. #lgbthistorymonth #employers #employmentlaw #ukemplaw #inclusion #legalprofession #law #community #equalopportunities #valuesdrivenbusiness

🏳️🌈 Celebrating LGBT Pride Month! 🏳️🌈 June is a special month where we celebrate love, diversity, and the vibrant spirit of the LGBT community. As we observe Pride Month, it’s essential for all organizations to recognize the importance of inclusion and equality in the workplace. Embracing diversity should be more than just a policy; it should be a core value. By fostering an environment where every individual can bring their authentic selves to work, companies can ensure that everyone feels valued and respected. Promoting a culture of inclusion not only empowers team members to innovate, collaborate, and drive success but also strengthens the entire organization. This Pride Month, let’s celebrate our LGBT colleagues and the incredible contributions they make every day. Their stories, courage, and resilience should inspire all of us to build workplaces where everyone can shine. We encourage all companies to stand together in solidarity, championing inclusivity and acceptance. By doing so, we can pave the way for a future where diversity is celebrated, and everyone can thrive. Happy Pride Month! 🌈 #PrideMonth #LGBT #Inclusion #Diversity #Equality #WorkplaceCulture #CelebrateDiversity

Only 7% of #LGBT+ individuals in the US indicate their #wellbeing is thriving; 24% are at high risk per #WTW's 2024 Global Benefits Attitude Survey. These stats speak volumes to why support for these employees and their families can't be limited to Pride Month #dei #wellbeing #equity #lgbt+ #totalrewards #listening https://lnkd.in/eyyVZ6fi
How employers can ensure LGBT+ support is not limited to Pride Month
