As summer draws to a close, we continue to introduce you to our exceptional group of interns. Meet Wyatt Schrader from the Commercial Credit department. What is your dream job? My dream job would be to be a GM of an NFL team (specifically the Colts). What has been the best part of your internship at STAR? The best part of my internship with STAR was working alongside other interns for our case study. The workshops we did together were very helpful in developing my professionalism and it was a great time getting to know everyone. What advice do you have for future interns? My advice to future interns would be that you get out what you put into your internship experience, so try your best and stay engaged with what you are doing.

Forté Fellow | Corporate Partnerships I Brand Development I Arthur Blank 100 I Speaker | Prev. John Deere Planner & Orange Bowl Partnerships Intern
And that’s a wrap on my summer internship program at the Orange Bowl Committee as a Partnerships and Marketing Intern.🍊🍊 What an eye opening journey it has been filled with growth, learning, and meaningful experiences. Through this internship, I've gained invaluable skills: Strategic Partnerships: I've learned to foster win-win collaborations from initial outreach to complete activations, and build strong partnerships that drive mutual success. Working with over 30 different sponsors throughout the summer. Community Outreach: Learning about the importance of supporting the community and giving back has been super fulfilling! From Park of the week programs to Orange Bowls Leadership Programs. Effective Communication: Crafting compelling campaigns and delivering messages that resonate have become second nature. Thanks to this internship, I can now create content that not only captivates but also converts. Networking: Connecting with professionals in the field has been invaluable. The mentorship and guidance I've received have accelerated my growth and expanded my professional circle. Here's to the next chapter of applying these skills and expanding my horizons! #womeninsports #sponsorshipmarketing #partnerships

Director of Operations Support @ Republic Services | Environmental Attorney | Risk Management | Due Diligence | Government Affairs
Check out the monumental work being done by Grow Detroit's Young Talent (GDYT), which has entered its ninth year. Since 2015, this annual summer work program has opened up a staggering 70,000+ employment opportunities for the youth in Detroit. With an astounding 8,500+ roles available this summer, they've been incredibly instrumental in lighting the path towards the future. What really stands out for me is the breadth of roles available, ranging from entry-level positions to Career Pathway Internships. This diversity embodies a crucial principle: To empower the younger generation, we need to invest in a wide variety of experiences, not just pigeonhole them into a select few. The future of any community’s local workforce is only as good as our commitment to nurture it. When we provide young people with employment opportunities, we do more than just help them earn an income - we shape their worldview, equip them with vital skills, and above all, provide them with a strong footing to launch into what may become their lifelong passion. Investing in youth is a long-term commitment with returns far beyond the immediate balance sheet. It fosters a community of well-rounded individuals ready to tackle the complexities of the 21st-century workforce. It feeds into the cycle of innovation, productivity, and resilience that drives our businesses forward. The genius of GDYT is that it plants the seeds for a brighter future, one summer at a time. And each of us, as members of the business community, have a role to play in watering these seeds. Remember, the most valuable asset of any business isn't in its balance sheet - it's the potential in its people. #GrowDetroitsYoungTalent #YouthEmpowerment #investinpeople
