Maintaining professionalism is crucial. Be polite and courteous in all your interactions, people don't owe you a damn thing. Also, follow up after interviews or meaningful interactions is key. Maybe write a snail mail letter? Folks love opening mail these days since it's less common. And that don't involve applying to jobs. 📌 If you recently attended a networking or industry event: - Create a native post on LinkedIn sharing your key takeaways (bonus tip: do it in video format on Loom). - Tag the speakers and people you met at the event in your post. - Express what you appreciated about meeting them as this will build more goodwill and make them more inclined to support you in your next steps. 📌 When you do informational interviews with people in your target roles or companies: - Finish off these conversations by showing your gratitude for their time. - Let them know what you particularly appreciated about the conversation. - Ask them if they get any referral bonus for referring new candidates as many companies offer these types of employee incentives for bringing in new talent and can solidify a referral for you more easily. 📌 If you want to get in front of key decision makers at your target companies, away from online applications: - Do acknowledgement posts on LinkedIn by identifying your target companies and their recent initiatives that you admire. - Create a content post that highlights what you appreciate about their strategy, tying in your expertise in this area too. - Tag company leaders or those in your target department related to this initiative to get on their radar proactively. You're not putting your cold calling to use. 👀 You spend hours (sometimes painful hours) gathering valuable market information on the phones everyday.  Hundreds of conversations about: → Why candidates move jobs → How well a candidate is performing  → Why a client can't find someone to fill XYZ role → Why a candidate is still job searching months later → Why hiring managers are pushing back on certain candidates These conversations are content topics (ones worth sharing).
