It's Lung Cancer Awareness month and this one hits home for me! I was diagnosed with stage 4 ALK-positive lung cancer in 2022, at the age of 49. I didn't know that anyone with lungs can get lung cancer, so the diagnosis came as a shock. About 70,000 people around the world are diagnosed with ALK-positive lung cancer every year, and most have no risk factors. As of today, there is no cure. Fortunately for all of us, cancer research is moving at a fast pace. With more research funding we may be able to extend the lives of those with ALK-positive lung cancer, and someday find a cure. Our drugs right now are bringing a good quality of life. They're also buying more time. But with more research, we can do even better. It's why Matt, who was diagnosed with stage 4 ALK+ lung cancer in August 2022, dreams. With better funding, we can bring the brightest minds together to not only kick the can down the road, but one day find a cure. Please help be a part of that future: https://lnkd.in/g2W4Y2cW. #MoreResearchMoreLife #LCAM

Research brings not only life-saving therapies but hope. Like for Jamie, diagnosed with incurable ALK+ lung cancer three years ago at age 46. Thanks to research, he's not focused on counting the days, but on making each day count. Please help us find more research as we will develop resistance to our therapies: https://lnkd.in/g2W4Y2cW. #MoreResearchMoreLife #LCAM
