#Earth #Observation and #Geospatial industries are more and more tightly connected. Glad we can debate through respective communities how with our space sensors we can provide best solution for a sustainable development and economic growth. Our Thales Alenia Space "all-in-one" solution is conceived to provide best time resolution and revisit time with very high resolution optical radar satellite Geospatial World Forum (GWF) #GWF2024
#GWF2024 | Massimo C Comparini, Deputy CEO & ESVP, Thales Alenia Space, Italy says, "We cannot imagine an effective downstream domain without knowledge and influence of what is going to be deployed in space and at the same time, we cannot conceive space infrastructure without having in mind what is going to be the final use of the data generated in space. In the last few years, we’ve had a quite remarkable change and evolution. Today in the infrastructure design, we are not just considering the geospatial resolution per se. The paradigm shift has taken place in the time aspect of this resolution. We’re more focused on how frequently we’re going to refresh the information, what is the revisit time, and how many times in a day we’re able to look to the same place, which has an incredible effect on the downstream on a global scale. Now we have a smaller satellite. This has become a trend together with a couple of elements and pre-process or onboard processing is another aspect that is being prioritized thanks to the newer challenges and requirements." #GeospatialWorldForum2024 #space #downstream #technologies #Innovations Geospatial World Chamber of Commerce

🎤 PAOLO MINCIACCHI, CEO e-GEOS, attended a panel discussion moderated by Via Satellite, jointly with representatives from some of the world's largest companies in the Earth Observation industry. 🛰️ The discussion focused on the assessment of the current industry state, in a historical time where the fight against #ClimateChange and the needs in #Defense and #Security highlighted the vital role that #Satellites can play in providing valuable insights. Future perspectives of the sector were then considered, in view of the potential game changers represented by new technologies and future market needs. 🤝🏻 Along with Paolo Minciacchi, the round table was attended by Susanne Hake, general manager of U.S. Government for Maxar Technologies; Theresa Condor, COO of Spire; Awais Ahmed, CEO of Pixxel; and Anders Linder, general manager of International Government for Maxar Technologies. ℹ️ Read the interview here 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/gUSeD48w #e_GEOS #ViaSatellite #EarthObservation Telespazio | Agenzia Spaziale Italiana | Leonardo Space | GAF AG

🛰️ e-GEOS, as part of an industrial team led by Telespazio, has been tasked with carrying out a feasibility study on future EU Earth-Observation services! 🇪🇺 At the ongoing European Space Conference in Brussels, Telespazio, leader of a consortium of European companies including e-GEOS, signed the European Commission contract "Study on potential EU Earth-Observation services for governmental use". 🎯 The tender concerns the study for the realisation of a geo-information infrastructure, based on heterogeneous data including those provided by the European Union's Earth observation satellites, for the production of value-added products in the fields of #Security and #Defence. The study will also address cutting-edge European technologies such as secure cloud, data fusion and #ArtificialIntelligence. 🤝🏻 Alongside #e_GEOS and Telespazio, the consortium is made up of Airbus Defence and Space, GeoVille Information Systems and Data Processing GmbH, Hisdesat Servicios Estratégicos, Leonardo Space, PwC and Thales Alenia Space. ℹ️ More info 👉🏻 https://lnkd.in/d-CDy8WT #EuropeanSpaceConf #Space #EarthObservation Telespazio | Agenzia Spaziale Italiana | Leonardo Space | GAF AG | Thales Alenia Space

SSC - Swedish Space Corporation and Dhruva Space to expand ground station network synergies Swedish Space Corporation (SSC) and Dhruva Space announce the ambition to further expanding their synergies within the satellite ground station networks domain. By leveraging SSC’s network of ground stations for LEAP-1, an upcoming hosted payload satellite mission in 2024, SSC and Dhruva Space will help accelerate the growth of Swedish and Indian newspace initiatives. This engagement marks a significant milestone in the existing collaboration between the two companies. SSC's experience in establishment and operations of ground station services, will further augment Dhruva Space's expertise in full-stack space solutions, encompassing satellite manufacturing, launch services, and mission operations. The SSC ground stations will play a critical role in facilitating communication, data transfer, tracking, and control during the crucial early stages of the LEAP-1 hosted payload mission. #Space #Satellite #GroundStationNetwork #Communication #SpaceEngineering https://lnkd.in/eiKb72yM

As I am heading to #Satellite2024, I only find the time to share some thoughts on the great #MWC24 that took place 3 weeks ago. Never too late and certainly of interest for discussions in DC. A short version of my takeways: 💡 #AI not not #AI: Turning into an existential question, with AI mentions, solutions and flavors at every corner of the tradeshow, 🌐 More and more of an #ICT global tradeshow. While #MNOs are central players here, the entire digital ecosystem is there. As usual, global representation, with large presence of US, Europe and Asian stakeholders. 🛰 Satellite community had a noticeably larger presence, led by satellite operators, but with also more service and solution providers. Clearly a rising curiosity/interest from MNOs, which I believe remains largely to convert into investment decisions. But dynamics are there. Higher performance of satellite solutions, and stakes for MNOs (global access, sovereignty, resilience requirement while facing more natural disasters and other risks) are supporting the trend. Key topics for the future integration of satellite involve new generation capabilities led by LEO and multi-orbit (under the condition it is user friendly including for terminals). Interesting case studies and demos (thanks for example - non extensive list to European Space Agency - ESA, SES Satellites, Intelsat, Hispasat and Greenerwave teams for their briefings and demos). 5G integration is also high on the agenda (while MNOs already start looking at 6G). And I had the great pleasure of moderating a session on Our Epic Journey Beyond Earth, combining the race for the space exploration and human spaceflight with the need to further partner with the broader ICT community. Certainly a new topic at #MWC. Thanks to Zoey Shi who was a great support to make the session happen, and to Clint Crosier (Maj Gen, Air Force/Space Force Retired), Davide Petrillo, Manlio Di Stefano and Antonio Franchi for the great discussion. Looking forward to meetings, discussions, and fun in Washington DC this week. I will be there with our team coming from our DC, Canadian and European offices.
