Tremendous interview with Gen. Nakasone! Great insight into the importance of #cybersecurity at a national/global level. Favorite line from the interview: “Cybersecurity *is* national security.”

Is Big Brother watching you in the USA ( NSA )? The phrase "Big Brother is watching you" comes from George Orwell's novel 1984 and refers to the threat of government surveillance. The National Security Agency (NSA) can monitor emails and gather data from cell phones, but experts say these methods are rarely used. National Security Agency - Wikipedia. https://lnkd.in/g37Dtti9..., the NSA has run programs that have collected data from U.S. telecommunications companies and monitored foreign emails. For example, the NSA's 215 program collects metadata from U.S. telecommunications companies, which reveals the date, time, location, and recipient of phone calls. The NSA's Prism program monitors foreign emails but has also collected U.S. emails. Is Big Brother watching you in the USA ( NSA )?

So many companies have urgent needs for TS/SCI cleared individuals, but none of them want to sponsor anyone. I don't blame them. This country seems to believe only the rich or debt-less can keep secrets. And if your family is less than ideal citizens, it's just not going to happen. I mean, unless your a Trump, then apparently they'll let you sell our national secrets.... #clearance #ts #sci #secret #topsecret #staffing #recruiting

On the 16th Jan 2024 the Office of House Security will hold a classified briefing about Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena. After the public hearing in July 2024 we would have expected more public facing conversations. That's unfair to the thousands of companies who haven't been gifted material from the CIA's Office for Global Affairs. We're not going to stand idle. Call your congress representative NOW and keep applying pressure. The UAP Caucus is real and a Super PAC is already active (Reveal Reality: https://lnkd.in/euUsN3F2). #UAP #disclosure #unfaircompetition #technology https://lnkd.in/eD_6d8dp

I understand why people see this as redundant, which it may be in some ways, but at the same time I also understand that having a new branch with different doctrine and entry requirements could open up military service to some highly capable people who maybe don’t meet, or don't wish to meet, all the physical prerequisites necessary to serve in another branch. Recruiting and retention of highly capable cyber professionals can be exceedingly difficult when your branch's primary mission is outside the cyber realm. Meaning, people desiring to serve as cyber warriors today must first qualify and train as physical warriors, and many likely don’t want or simply can’t do that. This is probably why Cyber Command is having such a hard time filling their roles with active duty personnel sourced from the other branches. For example, common conditions like asthma or even minor scoliosis will typically disqualify a person from serving in any traditional branch, but that person could be a brilliant cyber professional and serve a distinguished career in a branch of the military that doesn’t have stringent physical requirements as its primary entry barrier. Age barriers could also be loosened, allowing our nation’s most experienced and adept cyber professionals to serve, as peak physical and intellectual/experiential periods often occur at at radically different times in a person’s life. In short, a new Cyber branch of the U.S. military would give flexibility to attract and retain brilliant people who might not otherwise qualify or wish to become a soldier in the physical sense, but could handily serve our nation as a soldier in the virtual sense.

Persisting in protecting our systems with the same methods could be seen as futile. Seems to be the definition of insanity, keep doing it the same way and expecting a different result. It's crucial to adopt different approaches and techniques, such as SRV's Deep Packet Inspection, which scrutinizes every packet coming into your network rather than just the metadata, to achieve genuine Deep Packet Inspection. https://lnkd.in/dGR2yJ_d

The open sale of weapons should be banned in America to enhance public safety and reduce the risk of gun violence. The current accessibility of firearms contributes to higher rates of homicides, suicide, and accidental shootings. Stricter regulations can help prevent weapons from falling into the hands of individuals with criminal backgrounds or mental health issues , thereby reducing potential threats to communities. Furthermore, implementing comprehensive background checks and restricting certain types of firearms can create a safer environment and promote responsible gun ownership.By taking these measures, America can move towards a more secure and peaceful society.
