This report is promising no doubt to continue to advance the Nuclear Renaissance and reduce our global carbon footprint by investing more in non-fossil fuel based power generation. Hoping the decision makers consider the bigger picture when taking the decision to approve this project with such a global impact for generations to come. After Vogtle Unit 3&4, we need another major project to carry the nuclear generation development torch and set the example for the next one. After the opening plenerary of the Ministerial segment yesterday, now the first plenerary panel started in the technical segment at the #IAEA #lCONS2024 #Shapingthefuture nuclear security conference. Nuclear security is a key enabler for carbon free electricity supply for society.

Our current definition of success in new nuclear technology seems modest. To revitalize the nuclear sector, we need a significant boost in support and strategic investment. A comprehensive nuclear expansion initiative should be a top national priority, similar to defense programs. Without a clear and steadfast vision backed by unwavering commitment, the industry is unlikely to achieve transformative changes and significant progress it urgently needs. #nuclearindustry #energysector #nationalpriority
