I came across the majority of students who bragged about college society tags. - They felt that if they're the head of any college society or cell, they can clear anything and everything. - They felt that if they joined five societies in college, they would clear every job interview out there because the college society tag on their resume would speak louder than anything. - And they felt that just because someone hasn't joined any societies in college, they're already a failure. But hold on. And let me do a reality check here. -> One of my friends got placed in the Big 4 without even having a single experience of pursuing an internship or being a part of any college society. -> Two of my friends left the society in mid because the seniors were highly toxic (this is a reality of many college societies out there), but they both nailed college journey and went to study abroad. -> And one of my close friends never gave a heed to joining societies; he only focused on studying, and that's how he landed in DSE. So, the point is: Just because you're not a part of any college society, don't feel barren and confused. -> Always see what's right for you and if you're actually learning something by being a part of college society. -> Don't get demotivated if you can't manage to get into any college society. Life is a hell lot more than a college society tag. -> And always remember, if you've gotten an opportunity to be a part of or head of college society, don't take it for granted, and always prioritise your own growth and career as well. PS: No doubt, college society does help with a lot of growth, but please be sure it's not taking a toll on you. High School Junior at Maple Mountain High School | MMHS cheerleader | Working as a CNA | Interning at Family First Medical.
At family first medical, something we do every day is draw blood. This is a very beneficial thing in the medical field. If you have someones blood, you can run so may test and different things that can help you. One vial of blood can go a really long way. Like it states in the article, over 80% of diagnosis are made using blood work. This can also be challenging when your patient is scared of needles. The best way to overcome this is to talk to the patient and ask lots of questions. It keeps their mind busy. Then they are thinking more about the questions and less about the needle that's going into their arm. As your drawing blood, you have to keep everything sanitary. If the blood is infected in any way, it can give you a completely different result than you want. Blood draws can be very scary for people but they are very beneficial and can help you in many different ways. I provide effective, expert test prep for the SSAT, ISEE, SAT and ACT, helping students get into the school of their dreams since 2001.
If you're applying for scholarships or program placements, it's important to note that many still require good test scores. So, even if a school is "test optional," it may still be wise to submit your scores. #TestOptional #TestScoresRequired #ScoresForScholarships #ScholarshipRequirements #PlacementProgramRequirements
