A 2-year clinical trial published last year in JAMA explores the efficacy of pessary therapy versus surgery for pelvic organ prolapse. A serious pelvic health serious issue that affects 50% of women over their lifetime. While patient-reported improvements were similar between the two, it fell short of the noninferiority endpoint. 💡 Insights and Updates: These findings challenged the earlier 1-year results, emphasizing the need for ongoing research.
