I COULD post photography educational reels and gain a bigger audience comparable to men… I totally COULD do that… Instead I PREFER to offer in depth business solutions because that’s where the real work begins. The reels are entertaining! BUT if that worked more women photographers would be earning more than $30k/year. ⬇️ I feel REAL strongly about this. ⬇️ Photoshop has no place in personal brand photography. I’ve seen it used on magazine covers of entrepreneurial women and it just doesn’t sit right with me. Why are we altering the looks of strong, resilient, industry leaders? Why is it not ok to show up as we are, encouraging others to do the same? The goal is to show people who you are, encouraging them to fall in love with the real you. We can’t do that by changing your appearance. That said, I’m all for having your hair and makeup done to help you feel better about showing up on camera - do what you’ve got to do! But altering your body and airbrushing your uniqueness…nah, I’m not about that here. That said…I will remove lil brusies and surprise spots!
