If it works, will it matter? This is the guiding principle behind ARPA-E’s tech-to-market initiatives, designed to facilitate the rapid deployment of energy technologies like mCDR. In this webinar I had the pleasure of learning about the acoustic sensor networks under development at The University of Texas. This innovative technology measures the acoustic signature of bubbles released during photosynthesis to quantify seagrass carbon storage. This presents a less hands-on and cost-effective alternative to conventional sampling methods, showcasing the exciting potential of advancements in blue carbon monitoring.
