As an ICU cardiology nurse, it's essential to be vigilant in emergency situations. Here are some vital steps to take: 1. Check if the patient is conscious and breathing. 2. Verify the leads. 3. Ensure emergency equipment is nearby. 4. Work with the doctor to perform electro-conversion or any necessary medication treatment 5. Check arterial blood sample ASAP Additionally, if the patient has an L-VAD pump, it's crucial to note that the ECG may look different than other VTs on the screen.
