Insurance Analyst Position with a Leading $50bn+ Hedge Fund (New York-based) We are working closely with a Portfolio Manager at a leading hedge fund, who is expanding the financials team with a global insurance focus. With over a decade of expertise in the insurance industry, this PM is actively seeking a talented individual based in the U.S. to join as the #2 in the team. We're searching for candidates with a minimum of 6 years of experience in investment banking, equity research, or buyside equities, specifically within the insurance sector. The ideal candidate will come from a reputable bulge bracket bank, research house or buyside institution coupled with top academics from a leading university. Since this hire will be the feet on the ground in the U.S., excellent financial modelling skills and a profound understanding of insurance companies are crucial. The CFA or ACA qualification, as well as familiarity with CAT bonds, ILS, or a background in fixed income, would be advantageous but is not necessary.
