🗞 JUST OUT Our latest report finds that although Czechia has attracted significant foreign direct investment (FDI), there is more potential to harness its benefits for local economies. There is a particular need to improve the internationalisation of Czech small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which still lag behind larger firms in terms of accessing the knowledge, technologies and skills needed to collaborate with foreign multinationals. These SMEs can benefit from the spillover effects of hashtag #FDI. Policy coordination will be required across different institutions involved in investment promotion, SME development, innovation, and regional development, as detailed further in the report’s recommendations.
