This week in New York: Official OECD Side Event at the UN High Level Political Forum (HLPF) - "Forging Forward Together: Boosting collective action for accelerating SDG implementation amidst multiple crises" . ● Date: 17 July 2024 ● Time: 1:15 to 2:30pm (EST) ● Location: UN Headquarters, New York  ▷ This meeting requires a UN Ground Pass to attend ● Please register by emailing [email protected] Co-hosted with Slovakia in partnership with Italy and the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM). Our world stands at a critical juncture, facing an array of interconnected global challenges ranging from the triple planetary crises of climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution, to pandemics, food and energy shortages, rising inequality, and escalating armed conflict. These challenges affect everyone, particularly the poorest and most vulnerable.     The purpose of this OECD-Side Event is to help catalyse a collective response to address the lag in progress on the #SDGs, focusing on cutting-edge solutions that can help all countries forge forward together.     This event also marks the launch of the Special Report “OECD Contributions to the 2030 Agenda and Beyond: Shaping a Sustainable Future for All”. This comprehensive Report gathers the best of the OECD’s knowledge, data, and country practices to inform and support the UN and its Member States in fulfilling existing commitments and addressing future interconnected global challenges and opportunities. With less than 6 years to 2030, we must act now to build a better world, together.   Stay tuned for high level remarks from the event, including from OECD Deputy Secretary General Mary Beth Goodman, and don't miss the key recommendations stemming from the Special Report. More to come on 17 July. #HLPF #HLPF2024 #GlobalGoals #SDGs  Tatyana Teplova, PhDErnesto Soria MoralesCarina LindbergNina LenglingerElise DesplanquesFrancisco QuinaNatalia Ortiz PeñateAfrican Peer Review Mechanism (APRM)Mara Cossu
